why won't ajax expand their stadion?

i am playing with ajax, now in season 2013/2014. i won the uefa cup 2 times, and reached the champions league final. the amsterdam arena has a capicity of 51628 all seated. in my dutch cup game against helmond sport (bottom of the second division) 51613 people were watching. normally my stadion is sold out.

due to some handy transfers, the current balance is 173 million.

so with enough cash at hand, and a stadion currently sold out every match, why won't they built a new one. (expanding isn't possible because they don't own the stadion.

Building a new stadium is VERY expensive, you'd need more money than you have atm i'd say. Usually takes a massive take over before that sort of thing takes place on my games.

yea you need like £500m minimum for new stadium

I am playing with AZ Alkmaar. I am currently in 2015 and won the Eredivisie three times. The DSB Stadium has been expand once with 4000 seats. That cost me 17 million euro's.

You'll just have to wait. With a healthy balance your board will increase the seaters sometime.

my new 90550 seater stadium only cost me a cheap 295m, so you need a little bit more, but no 500m

The Ajax board won't expand the stadium because they don't own it. The club Ajax Amateurs do (they were a feeder team to Ajax on 08, not sure about 09).

Yeah, about that last post: they indeed need to own the stadium otherwise they can't do any work on it obviously.
