womble1972
Can anybody help me with this. I have a dell 1720 4gb 250gb hard drive space and my fm09 at the start of season 2 has the following error football Manager 2009 is running dangerously low on memory. I have a large database and 15 leagues. I have removed my spyware and defragged the laptop and removed any items on the c drive which would cause it. Done cc cleaner, reg cure and max reg and to no avail. Can anybody give me advice on this problem.
lurkingwithintent
DO you run any other programs whilst running FM? With 4GB of ram you should be fine so I'm not sure why, it may be the database + leagues but again I am not sure, hopefully someone else with more PC knowledge can help (Y). aaron1606
Is it a savegame from a game you started on a recent patch? I had a game I started at my uncles on 9.2, took the save home with me and my 9.1 couldn't play it, giving the dangerously low on memory warning and crashing.. womble1972
Yes it was. I saved onto an old saved game on the new patch.
lurkingwithintent
If you save an old game, you need to open it with that same patch or higher. A game saved with 9.2 wont load on 9.1.
womble1972
I installed the new patch and saved my game over an old saved file. That shouldent cause virtual memory loss ? Does it.
