Coop
Which do you prefer first? It doesn't really bother me one way or the other.
arsenal_2111
I prefer having the away game first. Gives me a chance to get an away goal, and I can normally finish them off at home.
simon07
Erm away first - I'm a defensive minded coach who loves to play a counter attacking style of football. Soak up the pressure and hit on the break... I tend to win first legs 0-1 away from home. At home I stay defensive as they are the side who need to force the issue! small Mac
I would normally say playing away first, but thinking about it i don't think it makes any difference generally to the way i play or the results i get.
almir_metallica_4ever
I don't bother. I always play an attacking side, and if I'm trailing, i send all out attack, so they can score as many goals as they can, either home or away.
Bhoy
Away first please.
BenArsenal
Can't say I am really bothered, but because I find that in FM09 I'm usually better at home than away, I would like a home leg first, to rack up a cricket score before the second leg. Ediocy
I would prefer dealing with the 'Away' match first. If I manage to win that match or score enough 'Away' goals, I would make use of the 'Home' match to give my squad and youth players some valuable European match experience. Kickballz
I prefer away first because the 1st leg is normally quite cagey, so when it comes down to the second leg I want to have the fans there cheering the team on.
slipknot67
If I'm playing a much weaker team then I like to get the chance to knock the stuffing out of them at home first, but for teams that are evenly matched or are much stronger than us then get the away leg over and done with, try to get a draw or scrape a narrow win, then go in for the kill at home in the second leg.
