Feeling the pressure media/public expectation

Recommended Posts

How do I stop this and instill confidence in my younger players again? Usually I drop them from the first team but I'm in the middle of an injury crisis and need them to play. Both my strikers (in fact my ONLY 2 strikers) are suffering, and I can't drop them despite the fact they are not scoring. Thanks

If you really cannot afford to give them a rest, perhaps do as much as you can to alleviate their pressure in your team-talks?

I am not sure if you are already doing this, but if you are not, try to make sure you use options like "I have faith" or "Pressure is off" rather than "Expect a win/performance".

I tried to give them talks before the match but I achieved limited results. Their match ratings were poor but one of them managed a goal. I also assigned a tutor to Moses and criticised his recent form but neither really worked. In the end I just played through it and, despite losing all 3 matches, I now have a full compliment of strikers and have hit some kind of form.
