Using FM on a new laptop

Hi,
Hope someone can help me on this? I have been playing FM09 on my desktop PC for a while now, but am soon getting a laptop and will be playing the game on this instead.
I installed the game through Steam initially.

Can I/ how do I transfer my FM game, including saved games onto my new laptop? Or does loading Steam onto my laptop do this anyway?

Copy your "Sports Interactive" folder in the "Documents & Settings" folder of your PC over to your laptop and you should retain all your game settings and save games on your laptop. :)

Regarding the game itself, download Steam onto your laptop and log into it with your username/password. You can thereby download and install FM09 onto your laptop. Do this before you transfer your data over.

Edit: Re-read your post and realised your laptop has yet to arrive. :)
