urgent help required!!!

I have had Football Manager 2009 since November, and it has recently begun malfunctioning. When I launch the application, the icons for "new game", "load game", "load last game", etc. are shown, but the text which should be there isn't, and after I have loaded my game, I am unable to take control of my manager - because it is password protected, and the table on the game status screen has some rows collapsed and its contents inaccessible - including the row which is needed to take control of my manager. It seems as though all tables in the game have collapsed fields - I looked at one of the league tables and the rows had been reduced to only a couple of millimetres of height meaning that it was not possible to see the league positions.

Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Is the game running on the right screen resolution?

And are you entering the correct password?

How about running in full screen and fiddling with display settings?

And have you made any major changes to your computer regarding display/graphics?

If not try a system restore.

Failing that, copy your game save, reinstall FM and replace the game save

copying the save is not nessicery as it is stored in the si folder in my documents and only the one in program files (xp) is deleted with uninstallation.
