Parachute payments

I've just started a game as Reading, I'm in early January and losing more than a Million a month. I just wondered if they recieve parachute payments (They should) and if so when do they recieve them?

Or do I just sell my best players?

You certainly receive them month-by-month for a couple of seasons if you are relegated in game. As Reading were relegated before the game start, you might find that that money is in terms of cash in hand, i.e. that you've already received it at the start of the season.

To cut down on your costs, you really want to trim your Reserve squad and, to an extent, your under 18s. Getting rid of unneccesary players and clearing their wages off of your books will help. And of course, cup progression gives money and league performance influences more fans to give you money in gate receipts so you might have to stick it out!

It doesn't look like I'm getting anything unless it's 38k in TV money a month.

Doyle, Hunt and Harper all been sold without my say so. I'll be lucky to get the play offs this way. I'm 1st at the moment though so it aint all bad.

I got Cardiff promoted and then got relegated the next season on the last game

I had a parachute payment of just £2 Million.

i thought IRL it was something like £20 Million??

I thought it was 10M a year for 2 years, but paid in monthly installments.
