TeddyHutch
Hi. I am a recent Switcher to Mac and have now started to Panic that FM08 is not available on the MAC. Is this right or am I panicing for no reason???? Also, if it is available does it run ok? I have the 2.4Ghz Duo with 2Gb Memory. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated and if you know where it is available that would also be sound!!! Cheers all

medievalist
You're panicking for no reason. I got the digital download recently. Should run fine on your system, i think.
robzilla
.. forgot to add the box states the minimum Mac requirements as: Intel Core Duo 1.8GHz, Mac OS 10.4.4, 256MB RAM Recommended specs are: Intel Core Duo 2GHz, Mac OS 10.4.9, 1GB RAM So you should be fine. TeddyHutch
With regards to the box that you have is it the one that has FOR WINDOWS in the corner. If this is the one that works on the Mac then that is superb.
TeddyHutch
sorry one other thing... do I need Windows and VMWARE on the PC or does it just work with the MAC software Cheers for your help fellas
SI Staff Miles Jacobson Posted June 24, 2008 SI Staff Share Posted June 24, 2008 The retail release (as in the game you buy in the shops) is a dual format PC/Mac version. It will work on the Mac natively as long as the machine is above the minimum spec. Digi download versions are sold seperately, as they are sold through different companies, so the PC version of the digi download will not work on the Mac, nor the Mac one on the PC. BJG123
There are some compatibility issues with Macs - nothing major though. 1. In windowed mode the breadcrumb trail is cut off the bottom of the screen 2. In the editor, it is incredibly difficult to scroll down in the transfer clauses screen or on fave people's lists etc.

With regards to point 2. I've never had that trouble.
