docklanders Posted March 5, 2009 Share Posted March 5, 2009 Does it have a big effect, when i took over Poland it was just me and an assistant manager with rubbish stats (Sacked) i lost my 3 friendlies against Finland, Bosnia & Spain, but then we had the world cup, i had England, Scotland & Serbia, and although we didnt qualify, we lost to England & Serbia 3-2 and beat Scotland 1-0, where we should of lost all 3 heavily, this is my coaching staff i employed for the world cup, looking at these staff, do you think it was down to them, or did i (for once) get it right tactically? berndr Posted March 6, 2009 Share Posted March 6, 2009 I also have been wondering about this recently. What are the attributes you are looking for in "national staff"? For your AM and the Youth Team managers it might be the same as for your usual club staff, but what about "coaches"? As there won't be any training impact (?)
