indierich06
Alright fellow managers, I heard a rumour a few years back that if you play a game of FM long enough, eventually your son comes through as a regen. Is there any truth to this? I need a son to carry on the fine footballing tradition that I have started!
ahmufcwafc
It's true, but it's very unlikely to happen.
Ventresto
I've had one ever in past all versions. They are really, really rare, so good luck. Mine actually looked quite like me, i was soo proud.
ChewyFun
a thread about this the other day, think someone said there's a 1 in 10,000 chance of getting a 'son'. It's like the Holy Grail.
hamilton162
Yeah, i created on yesterday. They also put your son on your favoured personel list and vice versa as well

Hershie
To annyone who has had a son come through; how old has your manager been at the time?
J.W.
would laugh if you are black and your son is white or visa/versa or is so bad that they get released at an early age and then retire prematurely
Administrators Neil Brock Posted February 26, 2009 Administrators Share Posted February 26, 2009 I've never had one It is bloomin' rare mind.
BillyMysterio
It'd be awesome to have a son come through the ranks at Leeds! Unfortunately he might not make it in the first team because last season I went on a spending spree buying loads of youngsters from loads of nations. For example I have 8 of the usual starting 11 for the Spain U21s... Then again as a manager I think I'm 38 so maybe he'll come through when this current crop is a bit more advanced and can be the spearhead of a new generation! If you did get a son on the game and his favoured personnel was someone you hated or favoured club was a rival what would you do? I think if my son had Man U as a favoured personnel I might have to disown him!

BillyMysterio
The Gaffer, you kinky guy! I thought that if you were lucky enough to get one you wouldn't be a kid yourself when you're supposed to have done the deed so to speak... Then again that's happening in real life! Yeah that's what I mean Lewis... you got there first! He may be 13 but looks about 8 (if that)!
pnefc22
I would love to have one and would play him every game, even if his ability was low.
BillyMysterio
Yeah that could be my problem, feeling you have to play him even if he's dire!
