efils_god
I've been trying for a while to upgradde my stadium but the board said the council wouldn't consider it. My stadium is currently 14000, 11000 of which are season tickets To my surprise, the board have now announced a new stadium (The Hegarty Arena, for Dundee United fans...), which will take 2 years to build and cost 30M This stadium has a capacity of......17000 hardly seems worth the upgrade does it? Is this normal, and what sort of expansion have other observed?
daemonic
I had my stadium expanded from 5k to 23k before hitting the 'council refuse ..' wall. My new stadium will seat 30k. I think the main advantage is your new stadium will have further expansion capacity. So if you sell out the 17k it can be expanded further.
Sandy_Tait
The new 17,000 stadium might well be on a site that allows large amounts of expansion, as well as having better facilities than the current one. I had a 22,000 stadium built to replace the maxed out 12,000 capacity stadium I had at Stevenage (obviously, this is a fair few seasons in ). Every year I asked them to expand it and every year they complied - it got up to 38,000 before I stopped playing that particular save game. If you want to see what the expansion limit is on your new stadium, some of the real-time editors out there will tell you.
CaptainPlanet
It'll definitely have more expansion room. Think of it as a 3000 expansion with the possibility of more.
