seanos Posted February 18, 2009 Share Posted February 18, 2009 Right im currently Leeds Utd and I have finished 7th in the Premier League 2011/2012 yet I havnt qualfied for the UEFA Cup. Here is the final league standings and cup winners. 1st Man City 2nd Man Utd 3rd Arsenal 4th Liverpool 5th Chelsea 6th Tottenham 7th Leeds 8th Aston Villa Arsenal won the FA Cup Aston Villa won the League Cup And England were given another UEFA CUP place because of fair play but that went to Newcastle Utd who finished 12th... jod123 Posted February 18, 2009 Share Posted February 18, 2009 That is right. There are 3 UEFA Cup places. Chelsea get oe for finishing 5th. Since Arsenal won the FA Cup, Tottenham will qualify as they finished 6th. Aston Villa qualify for winning the League Cup. The Fair Play place is separate and goes to the fairest team in the league i.e. the one with the least cards and so on and has nothing to do with league placing so Newcastle got it.
