Why I can't scout my own players ?

Because you should already know the quality of your own players. Your coaches can assess them if you are not sure.

Because your coaches can tell you instead?

You can just access a report on there profile screen.

You can if they're on loan at another club (or get match reports at least). It annoys me how you can't scout co-owned players though.

This is the oddest question i've seen in a while.There have been some strange threads but this takes le biscuit. Scout your own players, do you holiday a lot???

Because you can't sign them.

You get coach reports, assistant manager feedback in the "Training->Overview" page, and assistant feedback on the whole team. What more do you want?

Having my scout 20 on both judging the actual and potential players' ability I would care to listen to his opinion about a bunch of my young players that havn't been scouted by him yet.

Coaches will give a more accurate assessment of your players than a scout will. I don't see why you would want the scout report instead of the coach report?

On a similar issue, loaned out players don't have coach reports and can't have scout (detailed) reports. Only match reports. So, in effect, I know less about my loaned out players than I can find out for any other player in the world. This is kind of stupid.

I think this is being looked into.

Lyssien raises a good point. I have raised this myself also. This would be particularly useful for promising youth on loan, especially where loans get extending. Aside from match reports you should get some view of any performance / atribute changes during the loan, not after its finished
