MattWesti
Has anyone tried to play a group game over the internet either hosting through steam or just using their game through steam? Trying to decide if I should buy a copy from a shop or just download it via steam. Cheers
Glenn Wakeford
The method of game delivery has no effect on the online/LAN play.
Quackje
They didn't implement any different network game capability unfortunately, they certainly could have done but instead just use steam as a place to download the game and updates.

CaptainPlanet
It doesn't work like saying Counterstrike does, where you can host and join games using the Steam software. Steam is just a way of being able to purchase and obtain the game, nothing more. If you want a network game with your friends you have to use the option within FM09 itself, regardless of whether you purchase the game in a shop or online.
