Taller players emense heading and jumping ability if they use th Corner cheat tactic exsploit what ever you name it you tend to get unrealistic amount off goals from him. How does it work You don't want to know;) It's not nearly as effective as it was on FM08, but I seem to be able to get some goals from corners using the same set up. I remember on a 2008 save, John Terry scoring 39 goals for me in a season. On an online game we decided not to patch up after I told them about this, it really was just too much. Use an inswinging corner, i.e. a left footer from the right and a right footer from the left, and get any cb with good aerial ability to challenge the keeper and set your corners to six yard box and they will get plenty. Also gets forward sometimes for me. This is in 09. I dont think its too terrible as hes the guy to aim for, but a CB getting 20+ in a seasons consistanly like in 08 is a bit iffy. fat_Aj999 Posted February 13, 2009 Share Posted February 13, 2009 I've got 20 with Belleid on FM09, used the corner cheat, but only 5 came from that, the rest were from other set pieces (mostly free kicks) or screamers from the edge of the area, he was player of the season too. I had dropped him the season before for half a season and when he came back he played like a man possessed and was constantly man of the match and scored some vital goals. On 09 I think the best one of my defenders has managed must be somewhere in the region of 7 or 8 not many but my tactic specialises in getting one striker to score not defenders lol. Sergiu21 Posted February 13, 2009 Share Posted February 13, 2009 currently in late november with Inter, Materazzi has 6 in 10 and Samuel has 7 in 6, so the corner cheat is alive and working well in 09. Both will probably surpass 12 by the end of the season (I don't play either one enough to get more). Yes Christopher Samba. He was stupidly good on FM 2008 he would get 40-50 goals each season. Samba in 12 seasons got over 350 league goals on FM 2008 it was ridiculous. I've scored 14 goals in 38 games from headers from striker on the post/own goal from defender/goalie mishandling. I'm guessing the game categorizes own goals as a score from a corner kick? My current youth centre-back has like 27 goals in 11 matches or something, though - albeit in an Under-20s league and an amateur club as a friendly. He's my top-scorer at that level at the moment without even trying. Bit funny, some matches, though - where he'd score 4-5 goals and when you run a replay, they all look suspiciously similar...
