Bris Vegas
Sorry, didn't know where else to put this. Basically Steam use to work fine, now it never connects to the internet. I had the patch 9.01 and therefore use to carry on in 'offline mode' just to play the game. But now I want the new patch 9.02, and my mate tells me steam downloads it for you. It basically says I'm not connected to the internet when I am, I hit the retry button but nothing happens. Any help on how to fix this please? CaptainPlanet
Take steam out of offline mode? But you don't have to download it through steam, you can find a direct link to the patch at: http://community.sigames.com/showthread.php?t=82282
Bris Vegas
When I double click steam, it comes up with 'unable to connect' that's when i just used offline mode. And I've tried downloading the patch with those links, it got to 100%, error - download could not be complete.

Bris Vegas
What, you asking if I have it? No I don't. I'm on 95% of the download, I'll tell you what it says in a moment. I've been looking at the 'bugs forum' to try and find out how to get steam to connect. There is a link to a site that requires a log and pass, which I don't have. Damn this is fustrating! CaptainPlanet
I'm more worried about the fact that you can't download the patch standalone as opposed to through steam. I recommend: http://www.lespacio.com/fm2009.php
Bris Vegas
Ok I've given up with steam. I tried the bottom link for the new patch and thankfully it worked this time. Sorry for wasting your time matey. Thanks for your help anyway. Feel free to delete this thread mods.

Your connectivity issues are clearly with Steam, so actually you should be on the Steam Forums searching for the solution to enable your Steam to connect to the internet again. Try their website and go through their forums from there. http://store.steampowered.com/ Edit: I found that they have a section on their website titled "Support" and grabbed this link for you. It should be helpful. https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=1456-EUDN-2493
