xander
after reading some posts previously on these forums about wonderkids and developing young talent i was wandering when you see a promising youngster, do you give him a different training program to everyone else so as to develop certain areas of his skills to maximise his potential? or do you think training by himself would demoralise him? i tried doing it with a few, they didn't really develop as fast as i hoped, so i put them all in one program to see if that helped, but have to wait a while before i see the results... any thoughts? Hardy6
I always send them out on loan if possible. If i get a really young player i will put them in my youth team and let them develop form there as my coaches are prob a lot better than a lower league coach but once they get to 17/18/19 i'll send them out on loan and let them get first team experience. i never send them on loan unless they are gonna be a valuable memeber of the first team they are going to. If i cant get them out on loan i try and play them as much as possible in cup game and easy games and the reserves. Always worked well for me tbh
R-dizzle
Same as Hardy here. Tutor them at 16 to 17. Sometimes at 18 if they're not that good. Send them on loan at 18/19 and at 20 if they cant get into the team. At 21 they get either put into the first team or sold on.
Richie Brill
I do the same as Hardy and R-dizzle! A little off topic I know but does anyone know where I can find a part-time training schedule? I've been looking out for 1 and hoping Tug would do 1 but haven't noticed any update recently so hoping someone else may have released
TheRealMagpies
Part Time training is all about focus All positions need a base of Strength, Aerobic, Tactics & Ball Control (Light) All outfield positions can be given Set-Pieces (Light) GK - Goalkeeping + base training All Defenders (SW/DRLC) - Defending + base training All Midfielders (WBRL/DMC/MLRC/AMC) - Defending + Attacking + base training Strikers (ST/FC) - Attacking + Shooting + base training Wingers (AMRL) - Attacking + Set Pieces + base training these settings will be around medium (close to or at, depending on the number given) overall intensity will be towards the high end of Medium This gives a total of 5 Youth Schedules that give steady, but positional focused training and when they become eligible for Full-Time training you can then specialise them into DC, Fullback, DMC, AMC etc.
pires29
I've had 2 different Spurs saves on my PC (got a virus so lost the 1st save) and each time i've sent John Bostock on loan to league 2 when he was 17 and when the time came for him to come back none of is stats had risen and he moaned it was too low a level for him to be playing at. When i checked the scout report before i sent him away it said he would be decent league 2 player so why did he not improve any when he was away? EDIT: Forgot to add that he played most of the games for the team i sent him away to that season.
Lyssien
Training players on the same schedule does not make any difference on harmony, friendships etc. So it 's best to try to design the best possible schedule for each player seperately. The_Kreman
I dont think that having an individual training regime for each prospect is necessary. I set up several training options and allocate the relevant players to each: GK GK - Prospect Defender Defender - Prospect Midfielder ...... Well, you get my point. Lyssien
Kreman, I didn't say it is necessary, I said it is best (provided one is willing to invest the hours needed). I mean best = optimal.
eXistenZ
I use TUG youth training, slightly modified. But as soon as my "hot propects" turn 17, i drop them in the reserves and let them have a heavier training.
