lost2escape Posted February 10, 2009 Share Posted February 10, 2009 how come i cant seem to play on the game unless i am connected to the internet. but yet if i start off with the internet, load the game up. disconnect the internet. the game runs fine. so why do i have to be connected to the internet??? No you don't, you can create a shortcut to Football Manager 2009 without having to use Steam. Go to: C:\Program Files\Steam\Steamapps\Common\Football Manager 2009\ and right click the fm.exe file and choose "send to desktop (create shortcut)" You don't even need Steam launched, just use a shortcut as outlined above. underestimated utd Posted February 10, 2009 Share Posted February 10, 2009 I had a similar problem, but it undone this error after a while, and i can now play in offline mode:).It didn't that the internet isn't much quiker than dial-up as a live in a large student complex, so I kinda need offline.
