Quick question about a network game...can a PC and Mac play together?

Hi guys,

As my title heading suggests, I want to know if my mate and I can play a network game using my PC (windows laptop) and his Mac laptop?

We'll be playing at my flat so will be using the same wireless network.

I am pretty sure you can as long as both of you are on the same patch. So if you are on 9.2.0, he needs that installed on his game as well.

Cheers mate, we shall give it a try later on today then. I'll post back on here with the result.

From other, older threads, I think there has been some problems with the mac/pc combo in FM09. However, they were a little while ago and maybe one of the patches has sorted the problem

Thanks for the help chaps. We've been playing the game today without problems, my mate had to download the Mac 9.2.0 patch first but it's been fine since then.

I use a mac and am playing an online game with two other players (both on windows PCs) and here is the weird thing:

if one of them is the server our game results come up all messed up: my mac shows me winning 2-0 while their computers show me losing 2-1. But when the other windows PC is the server the problem does not happen and the scores have been accurate so far.

So I would say give it a try and if you get the different scores try switching servers or just wait for 903 and hope it has been fixed...
