Stevicus
hey i noticed that i have never once had to substitute a keeper due to injury, so i conducted an experiment, i decided that i would start up a new game and only use one keeper for every single game. Three seasons on and Reina has never been, injured during or between matches, red carded, yellow carded or anything. Keepers are not generally involved in much in real life but you get the occasional keeper injury during a game and sometimes a red card. Has anyone had anything like this before?? stuboy
my keeper just broke his finger and is out for a couple of months. At least it forces me to blood my 7 star potenial keeper in the first team
Guest
In my Reutlingen save during 10 seasons of playing I have had injuries to keepers a few times. Luckily only one or two times during a match though with the others coming during traning. I also saw a grand total of one keeper send off. The situation was that one of my players played a through ball which went a bit too far for my striker to reach so the opposition keeper came out of his goal to pick up the ball. The ball was just outside the box though and the goalie got sent off.
Katarian
I don't think I have seen a keeper injured during a match in FM09. I've seen plenty of injuries for them in training though.
mattant250
I've only ever seen 1 in match injury, and that was in 08. Few in training, but never seen my keeper get a red card.
JoeCFC
Both the goalkeepers for the Hungarian national team are out injured just before some important World Cup Qualifiers. Just my luck.
DanGLiverpool
I had my gk suffer an injury, but he stayed on, mainly because it was a light knock at the time, and there was no replacement at the time. He was out for 3 weeks, in which I got a 1 month loan Luton reserves goalie as my backup was on loan, and my youth goalies didn't seem up for the challenge or standards of BSS. DougyMarshall
in 6 seasons my Keeper has been injured once for 1 month. But i play in the SPL so i have to have a sub keeper anyway. Which im fine with... gives my young keeper some time on the pitch if im leading easily and i sub him on.
Glick
In my Napoli save Cudicini got an injury in a match. Never had a sub goalie on the bench either.
CrashOverride
I've had 2 injuries to keepers on 09 and always have a spare keeper on the bench. Its a key area of the team for me and I wouldnt dream of going into a match without a sub keeper even if its my 16yr old youth keeper. You can get away with playing a right midfielder at right back if you need to. Only player I would trust in goal is Peter Crouch!
ryan_sacfc
just today, neil alexander caught the ball outside of his area and got sent off for me i'd never seen it before
Mike7077
I've just had both my goalkeepers injured, but they picked them up in training. I have to go all the way back to FM07 to when a 'keeper got so much as a yellow card for me.

Ryknow
I had one in 2012, first one during the game. It was a slight injury (little grey cross) so my keeper was still 92% condition but I took him off anyways cause I needed him for ECC game.
Äktsjon Männ
Had one green one in match I think. And one sending off. I never have a keeper on the bench though except for very important games. Much more points can be gained by having more attacking options on the bench than lost due to having to play an outfield player in goal once in 10 seasons or so. PearlJamTen
My reserve keeper breaks his wrist and finger every few months. Never had a problem with Boruc though.
