Is it possible to win in fm09 without tweaking tactic at all

As long as your team is much better than the other team or you get lucky - Quite often at the start of a new game I have played friendlies without setting up tactics and won but they were against much weaker teams.

I guess if you are a top class team and have a well balanced tactic then yes I would be possible but for most teams its not I woudn't think.

Yep, it is possible. I did it several times, but it was with teams who are top in their leagues, like Ajax and Zenit.

I come 9th with Marine FC by using a standard 4-4-2

I play as Rangers and hardly ever tweak my tactics this season on it (4th season) ive won every game something like 12 games and in the champions league i've won every game except for a draw against Milan

i never tweak and win cups with many clubs, including qpr, oxford, chelsea, inter, west brom and spurs. all with the same tactic.

I won 6 trophies with Man Utd in 1 season using the same tactic in every game and went the whole of the season unbeaten so I would say it's possible lol

I don't tweak my tactic before matches, although I do make the necessary changes late on into games. By spending a considerable amount of time creating a balanced tactic I have found it possible to be successful sticking to just one tactic.

I always tweak during the games.

I have been consistent, when not tweaking at all. That equals winning games, though I can't stick with the same tactic forever and a day. I like to spring the odd suprise every now and then.

Be it that, or I have realised that have been playing the wrong tactic all the while. It's a tuffy.

i find tweaking tactics often have adverse affects so i decide against it. It shows weakness and as long as your base tactic is good as are your players then you will be fine

Its realistic too change tactics nearly all the time i mean you name me one football manager in the world that sticks too the same tactic styles every game and wins theres always a tweak or theres always a player change.

Its realism i think its good i used too always been in relegation struggles alot because i was generaly poor at the game but thats what a new game does you have too learn how too play it and master it..

ive started using tall strikers as target men and so on and crossing deep iff my wingers are slow but good at crossing and so on. Its a manager game yes it can be frustrating but think how bored would you be if you won every game with no effort.

I agree with Matt, its sorta unrealistic not to change the tactics
